My mom was a Brown, so we had to capture a photo of "her" mountain.

Chatted with a mother and daughter prepping for a hike.  They are getting in shape for a trip to the Rockies.

Met a couple from our area. In an example of how small the world can be, she was born in Durham at Watts Hospital. The building later became the high school (NC School of Science and Mathematics) our son attended.

There were only a few cars at each overlook and traffic was minimal.  We've been told this changes dramatically on weekends during fall foliage season.

We left Skyline Drive and exited the park at Swift Run Gap
Hope to return and enjoy the remainder of the drive sometime in the near future.

Parked in the shadow of an outbuilding.

Celebrated Beth's birthday with dinner at the Brewery. It is a pleasant place and we had a nice waiter. He & his girlfriend are going to the Hershey RV Show to look at camping trailers.  Tried a flyte and liked their Jolly Scott Ale the best. Bought a four pack of house made sodas to take north for ice cream soda treats.

We were both too full to try "Midnight Fridge Raider", but it did sound interesting.

Lots of nearby shopping is available with Aldi next door. Target and Wegmans are 3/4 mile down the road. There is even a bowling alley two doors down for entertainment if the weather is foul.

A quarry directly behind the brewery had large trucks driving by starting at 0600.  That was not a surprise as the Brewing Company disclosed it in their Harvest Hosts listing.

Watching the variety of trucks was actually interesting. This truck sprayed water on the road to keep dust down.

Overall a good overnight stopover. We would do it again.
