Revisited a local favorite this week; the butterfly house at the North Carolina Museum of Life and Science in Durham, NC.

note: Mariposa is the Spanish word for butterfly.
Beth and I always enjoy seeing the flowers and butterflies here.
Fruit and veggie treats attracted a Paper Kite butterfly.
Couldn't resist checking in on a few other museum residents.
I think we counted five heads in this pile of Ring-tailed Lemurs .
If you are interested in learning more about these fascinating and endangered creatures, Duke Lemur Center is nearby. They have the largest collection of Lemurs outside of Madagascar.
Radiated Tortoises share the Lemur habitat.
