Lexor Cabin Air Filter Change

There are some periodic maintenance tasks easy enough that any owner can do them. James and Stef over on the Fit RV web site recently published a post and video about changing the cabin air filter in their Winnebago Travato. The Travato is a class B camper van based on the Ram ProMaster, the same platform as our Lexor.
Not only did they make a good video, but they have a great site. You should check them out now at these links:

We found the filter in our van right where they said it would be and labeled it here. The screws were found under the numbers 1 and 2.

They used a screwdriver to remove the screws, but I couldn't find one that fit in my toolbox. A socket wrench with a phillips bit attached worked well for us.

Here's what our filter looked like after twenty months and 29,000 miles.

Put side-by-side with the new one, it was clearly due for replacement.

Thank you Fit RV!

2023 Update:
The EcoGuard doesn't seem to be available right now. We used the PureFlow this time. It was $27.26 on Amazon.

Far better than the $180.99 + fees and tax that the dealer wanted.

  1. Hi, thanks for the video link. I think I can do this. I’m curious, why do they charge $180 to replace the cabin filter and only $50 to replace the engine filter? Seems the engine filter is more difficult/time consuming. Thanks.

    1. It doesn’t make sense to me either. It took me a little longer to do the cabin filter than the engine filter, but not more than 5 minutes.
