Cadillac Ranch

Enjoyed showers and a haircut before heading out of New Mexico this morning. Most of today was crossing the Texas panhandle.

We stopped to stretch at Cadillac Ranch within site of the RV park where we stayed heading west. The cars were planted in 1974 and are now more paint than cars. Another RV park has Cadillacs minus the graffiti.

Distractions along the way were trains, wind farms, and cattle. Grazing cows were fine, but the stench of cattle lots was hard to bear.

The most unusual sight was an Osprey (VTOL plane) following us along the highway.

Tonight we're at Cedar Point Campground in Foss State Park, Oklahoma. Only a few mile drive north of I-40 and we have a lakefront site with power for $25. Brief walk around the campground yielded some flowers we hadn't seen before. We are trying to travel just behind the line of storms traveling east from Texas and the Gulf of Mexico.
